disqualifying fault in the American standard and is generally not
recognized by the FCI, although there are a few exceptions. As such, there are limitations to be aware

Cäsar von Gaiberg ("Tell") is considered the "father of the Blues."
All Blue Weimaraners, and many Gray Weimaraners, go back to this
influential dog. Imported from Germany for his excellent
bloodlines, conformation and hunting ability, Tell's arrival to
the U.S. was the
genesis of decades of in-fighting over the coat color.
